First Team Hurricane™ Portable Basketball Goal
The First Team Hurricane is a commercial-grade portable basketball goal designed for competition-level basketball in gymnasiums, fieldhouses, schools, colleges, and athletic facilities. This is not a typical residential portable basketball hoop—the Hurricane is built for facilities that need the stability, playing characteristics, and court clearance expected from a serious competition system.
The Hurricane features a 42″ x 72″ tempered glass backboard and a full 96″ (8-foot) extension from the base to the backboard. Rim height adjusts from 10′ down to 6′ using First Team’s extension-spring design, allowing the same system to accommodate regulation play as well as younger athletes.
Despite its size, the Hurricane is designed so one person can roll the unit into position. Heavy foam padding protects the front, sides, and rear of the base, and a boom extension pad is included. Rear hold-downs provide additional stability during play.

Floor Tie-Down & Installation Guide
Standard vs. Floating Floor Tie-Downs: The Hurricane is available with different rear tie-down configurations depending on the type of basketball floor in your facility. Selecting the appropriate configuration is important for properly securing the system during play.
A common question we ask customers is whether their basketball court uses a permanent standard floor or a floating floor system. Multi-purpose arenas and event facilities are a useful example because some facilities use playing surfaces that are installed over another surface or changed for different events.

96″ Competition Extension: The Hurricane provides a full 96″ (8-foot) base-to-backboard extension, providing substantial clearance between the playing area and the base of the portable system.
Height Adjustment: The extension-spring mechanism allows the rim to adjust from 10′ down to 6′, allowing the system to accommodate regulation-height competition as well as younger players and multi-use facilities.

Lifetime Superior Warranty. First Team's Superior Warranty covers damage or failure caused by basketball activity or related contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism, normal weather/UV wear, and other manufacturer exclusions are not covered.

Freight & Delivery Information
- Forklift Requirement: A forklift is required to unload this heavy competition basketball system at delivery.
- Commercial LTL Freight: The Hurricane ships by commercial LTL freight because of its size and weight.
- Delivery Appointment: The freight carrier will contact you before delivery to arrange an arrival window. An adult must be present to receive and inspect the shipment.
- Inspection Required: Inspect all packages for visible damage before signing the delivery receipt.
